12/23/2023 0 Comments Wolf appliance package![]() ![]() On the other hand, the builder probably jacked up our house price to cover the cost of these appliances, and I would never get these appliances myself due to their poor design and absolutely ridiculous upgrade costs, so I feel like these appliances will just end up as "decoration" in my house. On one hand, yes they're what most people recognize as "top of the line", and we're not paying extra. We have really mixed feelings that the builder decided to include these "top of the line" appliances in our new house. I didn't even bother asking the price as it's going to be highway robbery as usual, probably somewhere in the $20k range ![]() We need a 36" fridge, but the freezer on the counter depth fridges are too small for our needs, so the only option we have is to upgrade to a 42". Sub-Zero offers only counter depth fridges. This is literally changing a door right? Well apparently it costs $ 5000 more to change a door on a fridge We didn't like the single door on the fridge as we're used to French door fridges, so I asked how much it is to get a double door one with the exact same size/configurations.Want one? Only $800 for literally a piece of steel that probably cost them $3 to make Range backsplash not included, for a range that costs 10k which is 5-10x more than competitors. No child safety features, like some simple measures to prevent a child from playing with the knobs, that literally every other stove, even in the No indication of what the current temperature is or how long it'll take to preheat. It's like Wolf just puts a price in a random number generator as they think their clientele all have infinite money I asked how much it costs to get a digital panel with a timer - only $ 8000 extra.A timer is literally like, 1920s technology? My $50 toaster oven has a timer on it and it never broke. Wolf's argument is "oh we try to keep everything simple so there are less parts to break". Didn't hear the chime on the phone and forgot about the oven? Well probably will start a fire. We are expected to set a timer on our phone, sit on a stool, and keep watch while baking, and manually turn it off. The gas oven attached to the range does not even have a timer, which is absolutely ridiculous. Some of the design choices are simply ridiculous from a user standpoint. We went to a Wolf/Sub-Zero showroom for the first time to pick out appliances for our new house, which are included in the builder's package, and have to say we are very disappointed with the offerings from this supposedly top-of-the-line brand.
